Vösendorf is a market town with 7499 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in Lower Austria, in the district of Mödling. It borders directly on the federal capital Vienna (west to the 23rd, Liesing, north to the 10th district of Vienna, Favoriten).

The parish church of Vösendorf dates back to the Baroque period.
Secular buildings
Vösendorf is home to the approximately 800-year-old Vösendorf Castle, which now houses the municipal administration. It also houses a museum about the history of Vösendorf and also a bicycle museum.
Archaeological excavations
In the north of Vösendorf lies an Avar burial ground, which was investigated in several excavations. About 150 graves from the 7th to 9th century were discovered in it during the construction of the expressway. The finds prove the coexistence of Avars and Slavs in this area, Slavic clothing components could also be found and grave goods could be examined more closely on the basis of the animal skeletons.
