Culture and sights
Horse-drawn railroad: Along the Kleine Gusen, the route of the horse-drawn railroad Budweis-Linz-Gmunden led through the municipal area of Neumarkt im Mühlkreis from 1832 to 1872. Some buildings, bridges and sleeper stones of the horse-drawn railroad are still preserved. Today, the horse-drawn railroad hiking trail runs along the route.
Kronest Castle Ruin: A castle built in 1334, uninhabited since 1609 and now a ruin in the Kronest district.
