Frutten-Gießelsdorf is a former municipality in the south-east of Styria in the district of Südoststeiermark. Since 2015, as part of the 
Styria has merged with the municipality of Sankt Anna am Aigen, the new municipality continues to bear the name 
"Sankt Anna am Aigen" for the time being. Frutten-Gießelsdorf is located around 47 km south-east of Graz and around 15 km south of the district capital 
Feldbach in the East Styrian hill country. 

Culture and sights

The 40 m high Frutten-Gießelsdorf lookout tower is located around one kilometer west-northwest of the village. It was built in 1987/88 and 
restored in 2000. It is nicknamed the Fire Tower because of the striking red staircase with 180 steps leading up to the 36-metre-high viewing platform.
