Culture and sights
Parish church
The church is dedicated to St. Paul. The sacral building was erected from 1963 to 1965 according to the plans of the architect Hermann Worschitz. It is a concrete construction with a free-standing bell tower. The stained glass windows are by the artist Helga Zoltner, the high altar cross by Alexander Silveri and the statue of the Virgin Mary by Josef Papst.
Music
The oldest cultural institution of the community is the "Musikkapelle der Roto Frank und der Marktgemeinde Kalsdorf". Under the musical direction of the bandmaster Walter "Shorty" Kemmer and the long-standing chairman Ernst Bressnig, many awards have already been won. Since the beginning of 2007 he has handed over his office to Hannes Karpjuk. Through the cooperation with the music school Kalsdorf and the market town Kalsdorf it was possible to inspire the youth for active music making. This has resulted in numerous ensembles.
In October 2007, in June 2008 as well as in April 2009 for the first time in the history of the association a 1st place with distinction in the level A was reached at evaluation games of the Styrian brass music federation. After three awards at marching music competitions as well as concert competitions, the band was also awarded the "Robert Stolz Prize".
