Pernegg an der Mur is a municipality in the judicial district of Bruck an der Mur and in the political district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria.

The name Pernegg, formerly Bereneck refers to the castle of the same name, which was built around 1100 by knight Bero.
