Culture and sights
The High Gothic parish and pilgrimage church of St. Erhard was built from around 1360 by the Viennese Hofbauhütte over an older church and received
around 1390 with magnificent stained glass windows from the Viennese ducal workshop.
Consecrated in 1400, the St. Jacob's branch church contains a special treasure of medieval painting: a Last Judgement fresco from 1460/70.
It depicts Christ the Judge of the World, surrounded by saints and, in the lower, unfortunately badly damaged part of the picture, the damned in hell.
The Maria Schüsserlbrunn pilgrimage chapel is nestled against the cliffs beneath the steep walls of the Hochlantsch at 1388 m above sea level.
