Culture and sights

In the new fire station a fire department museum was established, which shows numerous equipment of the Semriach volunteer fire department since 1891.
The parish church of Semriach was built from 1505 to 1515. It is located on the same site as its Romanesque predecessor, built around 1100, which was demolished at the end of the 15th century. The church is built in baroque style and was last renovated in 1987. The baroque altar had to be replaced by a neo-gothic high altar in 1896.
On the Krienzerkogel, you can visit a Roman-era burial mound uncovered in 1962. It is the only preserved Roman grave in Austria.
On the so-called Hausberg southwest of the Kesselfallklamm gorge are the sparse remains of Luginsland Castle, also called Ruin Luegg. The castle was owned by the Counts of Pfannberg in the Middle Ages.
