Culture and sights
Calvary: The St. Radegund Calvary is considered one of the most beautiful folk calvaries in Austria. The path leads past 22 station chapels, whose building sites were first won by rock blasting, up to the crucifixion group and Calvary Church. The second large building houses the Holy Staircase, whose 14 marble steps, furnished with relics, may only be climbed on the knees.
Novystein: The Novystein is a 20 meter high obelisk, which stands on a 910 m high hill. It was erected in 1883 for the spa physician Dr. Gustav Novy and bears the dedication "To the benefactor of many sufferers, the great master Gustav Novy, by grateful spa guests".
Parish Church: The present parish church is a late Gothic building from 1490-1513, with late Gothic frescoes above the side altars and a Gothic reticulated ribbed vault on the ceiling. The church is dedicated to St. Radegundis. The first impression of the parish church suggests that it may have been a former fortification.
Ehrenfels Ruin: Ehrenfels Castle was first mentioned in 1229. It served the Ehrenfelsers (from the family of the Lords of Graz)[2] as a residence and to fortify their possessions around Graz. The ruins are now privately owned and can only be visited from the outside.
Spring paths
The St. Radegund spring paths connect 22 spring wells, which were established in the 19th century. Many of the springs bear the first names of the noble ladies of the spa society, such as Bertha, Melanie, Katharina springs.
The Hungarian Madonna fountain shrine was donated by Hungarian spa guests in gratitude for healing successes. It bears a replica of the Hungarian royal crown (St. Stephen's crown).
