Übelbach is a market town in Styria northwest of Graz. Übelbach is located in a side valley of the Middle Murtal in the district of Graz-Umgebung in western Styria about 20 km northwest of the provincial capital Graz.

Culture and sights

    Stable museum in the district of Neuhof. In an old stable building it shows old rural tools and utensils.

Sports

Due to the location of the market town in the area of the Gleinalpe, there are many hiking possibilities:

    On the western edge of the market town, the north-south hiking trail and the European long-distance hiking trail E6 run along the ridge of the Gleinalpe.
    The Übelbacher Silberweg (Silver Trail) circles the community in about 9 km with a walking time of about 2 ½ hours, following the traces of silver mining.
    In the community there is an ice hockey club and a soccer club (SV Übelbach).
