Klaus an der Pyhrnbahn is a municipality in the district of Kirchdorf in the Traunviertel in Upper Austria, with 1120 inhabitants, and is the northernmost municipality in the Pyhrn-Priel region.

narrow section of the Steyr. Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the village has belonged to the Duchy of Austria since the 12th century.
Since 1490 it has been part of the Principality of Austria ob der Enns.
