Birkfeld is a market town in Styria. As part of the Styrian municipal structural reform, it has been merged with the neighboring municipalities of Gschaid bei Birkfeld, Haslau bei Birkfeld, Koglhof and Waisenegg since 2015. The new market town continues to use the name "Birkfeld". Birkfeld is located in the center of the Upper Feistritz Valley in the district of Weiz in the Austrian province of Styria.
