Fischbach is a municipality in the district of Weiz. It is located in the Austrian state of Styria. On February 27, 2003, the municipality of Fischbach was officially recognized by the Styrian provincial government as a high-altitude health resort. With its 1050 meters above sea level, the village is the highest village in Eastern Styria.

The high altitude health resort Fischbach, in the middle of Rosegger's Waldheimat in Eastern Styria, is located at the foot of the Teufelstein in the Fischbach Alps. The place was already awarded seven times in a row to the most beautiful mountain flower village of Styria with 5 Floras! In addition to the widely known Osterhasendorf at Easter time and the Ägydimarkt at the beginning of September, the village can also score with the warmth of the Fischbacher as well as the village life with traditional customs and many culinary delicacies.
