Übersaxen is a municipality in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. Übersaxen is located in the westernmost province of Austria, Vorarlberg, in the district of Feldkirch at an altitude of 899 meters. The municipality is essentially located on the southern slope of the Laternsertal (Walserkamm) at its mouth to the Alpenrheintal above the market town of Rankweil.

Art project "Gisalz 98 For "Gisalz 98" in Übersaxen, Vorarlberg artist Herbert Fritsch made use of the house signs of the Walsers that have been handed down since the Middle Ages. This abstract drawing material formed the starting point and basis for the project. Each house in Übersaxen received such a new sign: Aluminum plates with two-color screen prints in yellow and black show the respective house number and the corresponding house sign.
Übersaxen-Satteins nature reserve: The approximately 60-hectare European nature reserve was established in 2016 and extends across the municipalities of Satteins and Übersaxen.
