Söchau is a municipality in southeastern Styria (judicial district Fürstenfeld, political district Hartberg-Fürstenfeld). Söchau is located in southeastern Styria in the valley of the Rittschein at an altitude of 273 meters above sea level.

Herb garden Söchau: In 1986 a herb garden was started in Söchau with an initiative of a hotel operator. As a result, the municipality purchased an area of about 11,000 square meters for an extension. After subsidies from the EU, the federal government and the state failed to materialize, the area was parceled out in 2011 for the construction of single-family homes.
