Petzenkirchen is a market town with 1466 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the district of Melk in Lower Austria. Petzenkirchen is located in the Mostviertel in Lower Austria in the valley of the Erlauf.

Culture and sights

    Petzenkirchen Castle: The castle was originally surrounded by a moat. Since 1945 the castle has been used by an office of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Institute for Cultural Technology and Soil Water Management.[6] In 1953 and 1987 the castle was extended by additions. From 1998 to 2002, the building complex was extensively renovated.
