Voitsberg, seat of the district administration of the district Voitsberg in Styria extends embedded in a former mining area in the middle of the West Styrian mountain and hill country over an area of 28.54 km².

    A special attraction is the "Kunsthaus Rathaus" designed by Arik Brauer.
    The historic town center with town houses, the castle ruins of Obervoitsberg, where the Burghofspiele Voitsberg are held annually, the castle restaurant, the castle ruins of Krems and the local recreation center Schlosspark-Grafenteich with the castle Greißenegg characterize the townscape.
