Dear guests of our town!
Coat of arms of the town Deutsche-Wagram was first mentioned in a document in 1258 and is a municipality that gained historical importance in 1809, with the "Battle of Wagram". At that time the armies of Archduke Carl and Emperor Napoleon fought each other.
In 1837 Deutsch-Wagram again entered the history books, because at that time the 1st steam railroad in Austria ran from Floridsdorf to Deutsch-Wagram.
For a long time Deutsch-Wagram was a village, which was elevated to a market town in 1929 and to a city in 1985.
Today our growing community has over 8,000 inhabitants.
Be a guest at the nationally known "Marchfelderhof", cycle along the Cityradweg and the Dampfross & Drahesel cycle path or stroll along the Deutsch-Wagram history and culture boards.
