Cultural Center Marchfeld Strasshof (KUMST): In Strasshof opened on September 19, 2015, and the celebrations included a performance of an unknown operetta from their "golden era": A work originally conceived by Carl Millöcker and Ludwig Anzengruber for the Vienna Harmonietheater in Alsergrund - Der Sackpfeifer - saw its world premiere (and three further performances) in the process, as it had not made it to the stage during the authors' lifetimes.
In the center of the village (Waldviertel) on the B8 there is a steam locomotive of the DR series 52 with the serial number 52.7593, manufactured by the Floridsdorf locomotive factory in 1944.
The proud pine tree, which is also in the village coat of arms, is a black pine tree that was planted about 230 years ago. These plantings were initiated at that time by Empress Maria Theresia in order to save the Marchfeld from desertification by drifting sand. The proud pine has been a protected tree since March 6, 1968.
The holm oak was planted during the reforestation around 1900. At one time, an entire young forest was to cover the area to the left and right of the federal highway. However, due to the sandy soil, it could not develop and became only a cripple forest.
The Fliegermarterl from the year 1971 reminds of the successful emergency landing of the airplane of Lieutenant Colonel Blaschke in the year 1912. At that time he participated in a flight competition and had to make an emergency landing shortly before his goal in Strasshof an der Nordbahn.
