Straßwalchen is a market town and village in the north of Salzburg (Flachgau) on the border with Upper Austria.
The municipality is located 25 kilometers northeast of Salzburg. Thereby it forms a bulge of the Flachgau and is almost completely surrounded by Upper Austria.

Pfleggericht Straßwalchen: The court was incorporated in 1801 by the judicial district of Neumarkt and since then belongs to the judicial district of Neumarkt
