Culture and sights
Parish and pilgrimage church Maria Pöllauberg: The pilgrimage to Pöllauberg began at the end of the 12th and beginning of the 13th century with the veneration of an image of Mary. A Romanesque chapel was built on the site of today's St. Anna's Church, which was mainly visited on Saturdays, giving the mountain the name "Saturday Mountain".
The filial church of St. Anna stands a little higher next to the pilgrimage church and is the initial Marian chapel of the community. The original Romanesque chapel was enlarged in 1532 and later baroqueized.
