Bergheim is an Austrian municipality in the state of Salzburg . The southern part of the municipality borders on the provincial capital Salzburg. The Plainberg with the pilgrimage site Maria Plain forms the boundary between the municipality and the city area as well as the demarcation between the city and the province of Salzburg.

The soccer club FC Bergheim has been promoted to the Salzburg League in 2019. The women's team of FC Bergheim currently (2019) plays in the Planner Pure Bundesliga.

The Bergheim Boy Scouts, which have been in existence since 1997, have around 65 members.

Through Bergheim leads along the Salzach as a long-distance bike path the Tauernradweg. Over the Plainberg past the pilgrimage church Maria Plain leads the Salzburg section of the Jakobsweg.
