    The local history museum "Zum Pulvermacher" gives insight into the history of Elsbethen. On three floors you can see thousands of exhibits ranging from prehistoric times (fossils) to today. The museum focuses on the former powder production, which was discontinued in 1918, on the history and natural history of Elsbethen, as well as on the rural working world of earlier years. The museum also includes a so-called "village street", which gives a historical overview of the former artisan businesses in Elsbethen. Thus, a grocer, a watchmaker, a tailor, the powder maker, a ceramist, a bookbindery and an old classroom can be viewed there.
