Bad Radkersburg (Slovenian Radgona; Hungarian (historical): Regede) is a municipality in the Austrian state of Styria in the district of Southeast Styria and the judicial district of Feldbach. Bad Radkersburg was the district capital of the former Radkersburg district until 31 December 2012. The town is located at an altitude of 208 m on the river Mur, which forms the state border with Slovenia.
Culture and sights
In 1978, Bad Radkersburg was the only town in Austria so far to be awarded the European Gold Medal for the preservation of monuments. The town is a member of the Association of Small Historic Towns. All important architectural styles are represented in Bad Radkersburg, from Romanesque (city foundation period) to Art Nouveau and the present.

Town Hall Tower: landmark of the town; the first three floors are from the Gothic period. The upper part of the tower was rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 1806.
Catholic parish church: the nave of the three-nave Gothic basilica originates from a former defense tower; on the outer wall of the church there is a fragment of a fresco by Johannes Aquila.

The Gothic Augustinian Hermit Church is used as a wine cellar.
St. Mary's Column: commemorates the plague of 1680; in front of the column, the dates are engraved in the cobblestones, recalling the Counter-Reformation around 1600.
Palais Herberstorff: the building from 1583 has probably the most beautiful Renaissance arcaded courtyard in the city.
Pistorkaserne: The oldest secular frescoes in Austria by Johannes Aquila can be found in the Pistorkeller (Hauptplatz No. 30).
Museum in the old armory: regional museum. The armory with its two-story arcades is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city.
