Culture and sights
Catholic Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul: The Gothic parish church, first mentioned in 1138, was built in its present form in 1480 and after a fire in 1809 was furnished in a classicist style. Frescoes and altars date from 1820.
Catholic Expository Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hinterriß
Fiecht Monastery: The Benedictine monastery in the district of Fiecht was built in its present form at the beginning of the 18th century, after the monastery moved here from its original location in Georgenberg following several fires. The baroque collegiate church was built between 1741 and 1750.
Still on Georgenberg is the Gothic former monastery church of St. George, built between 1654 and 1660, which is now a Marian pilgrimage church with a 15th-century image of the Mater Dolorosa. Not far from it stands the Linden Church, the original pilgrimage church from the 15th century, when the monastery was still located on the Georgenberg.
Sigmundslust Castle: the former hunting lodge of Archduke Sigismund the Coin Rich was completed in 1473 and is a reminder of the centuries-old hunting tradition in the municipality of Vomp. It is privately owned and not open to the public.
The natural monument Großer Ahornboden with its more than 500-year-old maple trees is an impressive sight, especially in autumn at the time of leaf coloration.
