Turnau is a market town in Styria, judicial district Bruck an der Mur and in the political district Bruck-Mürzzuschlag, at the foot of the Hochschwab. The municipality covers 134.10 km². Turnau is located at the northeastern end of the Aflenz Basin, a part of the Noric Depression. It is about 17 km to the district capital Bruck an der Mur.
