The municipality of Purkersdorf with 9853 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) is located in the Wienerwald region in the district of St. Pölten-Land directly on the city limits of Vienna at 248 m above sea level.Purkersdorf is located at the confluence of the Gablitzbach into the Wienfluss.
