Neufelden is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Rohrbach in the upper Mühlviertel.

Culture and sights

    Catholic parish church Neufelden Hll. Philippus and Jakobus
    Heimathaus: The old fortress has housed the Heimathaus of Neufelden since 1989. About 1,200 exhibits are displayed on an area of about 250 m². The main focus is on handicraft and rural utensils.
    Pürnstein Castle: The castle has existed since 1010 and was a fief of Passau. In 1866 it burned down, since 1958 it has been renovated.
    Blankenberg Castle: built around 1000, some meter-long walls preserved

Regular events

    Christkindlmarkt: On the Saturday before the third Sunday in Advent, the annual Christkindlmarkt takes place in Kirchengasse.
    Fish market: The traditional fish market takes place every year on December 31. In the district of Unternberg, about 60 members of the fishing club offer about 3,500 fish at the old warehouse.
    Music summer: The music summer offers numerous organ concerts in the church of St. Anna in the district of Steinbruch.
