Haibach ob der Donau is a municipality with 1284 inhabitants in Upper Austria in the district of Eferding in the Hausruckviertel. Haibach is located between Passau and 
Linz south of the Danube. Finds from the Hallstatt period prove an early settlement. The first documented mention of Heichenpach (Haibach) dates back to 1121. 
The name comes from the Old High German personal name "Heicho".

Schlögen Loop
Schlögen small fort: preserved remains of the west gate of the Roman fort.
Stauf castle ruins in Hinterberg: The castle was built in the middle of the 12th century and was owned by the Lords of Schaunberg until 1559. The medieval castle 
castle consists of a keep, the palace and the outer bailey, of which the main walls still exist.
