Mattersburg (Hungarian: Nagymarton (Great Martin), Croatian: Matrštof) is a town and a district suburb (Burgenland name for district capital) of the district of the same name in Burgenland in Austria. Mattersburg is located in the northern part of Burgenland east of Wiener Neustadt in the Wulka Valley.
Culture and sights
Railroad viaduct: A striking feature of the townscape is the mighty railroad viaduct, which is also a landmark of the town. The viaduct is 20 m high and spans the Wulka valley over a length of about 150 m; it was built from August 1846 to March 1847[9].

Soccer: in recent years, the city gained particular notoriety primarily for the SV Mattersburg soccer club, which played in the Bundesliga from 2003 to 2013 and from 2015 until its insolvency in 2020.
In 2009, a soccer academy was built at a cost of around 10 million euros with several grass pitches and a boarding school to promote young soccer talent in Burgenland.
Basketball: The BK Mattersburg Rocks has played in the 2nd Bundesliga Division South since the 2007/08 season.
Field hockey: The ASKÖ Hockey Club has been playing in the leagues of the Austrian Hockey Association since 2006.
Two Austrian long-distance hiking trails, the Northern Alpine Trail and the Central Alpine Trail, pass through Mattersburg.
