Be inspired by the unique natural landscape around the river Danube and experience unforgettable moments in idyllic Upper Austria
Enns is a town in the district of Linz-Land in Upper Austria. It is located on the Danube and the river Enns, which here forms the border with Lower Austria.
The city calls itself the oldest city in Austria, but this is disputed. In any case, the town charter from 1212 is the oldest document preserved in the original and can be seen in the Enns Museum. Enns is the successor town of Lauriacum, which was elevated to a city in 212. Moreover, Enns was the first Cittàslow town in Austria. The town's landmark is the 60 m high town tower.
