Bad Schallerbach is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Grieskirchen in the Hausruckviertel. Bad Schallerbach is located at an altitude of 308 m on the Trattnach River in the Hausruckviertel region.
Culture and sights
Magdalenabergkirche: The church was built between 1398 and 1423 in Gothic architectural style.
Filialkirche Schönau: The church served as a parish church until 1950. In 1965/66 the interior was remodeled. The mosaic altarpiece with scenes from the life of St. Peter and other works of art were created by the Tyrolean sacral artist Max Spielmann (1906-1984).
Parish church Bad Schallerbach: 1956 laying of the foundation stone, 1958 consecration of the new parish church, built according to the plans of the architect Hans Feichtinger (from Bad Schallerbach), artistically decorated by Max Spielmann.
The town hall was built in 1923-1924 by Mauriz Balzarek (1872-1945), who is considered the most important Art Nouveau architect in Upper Austria. He also designed the first bathing facilities in Bad Schallerbach, the promenade along the Trattnach River as well as the plans for the Gendarmerie Kurhaus and the Schallerbacherhof.

The Upper Austrian Regional Garden Show Botanica 2009
International Music Summer: under the direction of artistic director Peter Gillmayr, held annually in Bad Schallerbach since 1996; with about 90 concerts per year, this series of events is one of the largest and most renowned in the country.
Focal points and series: Kurorchester/ Tage der evangelischen Kirchenmusik Wallern/ String Passion/ musica sacra/ Musiksommer Virtuos/ Schallerbach Vokal/ Bad Schallerbacher Herbstlese- wort & ton/ Advent/ Silvestergala.
The spa orchestra was already founded in 1926, celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2006 and always plays on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from Mother's Day until the end of September.
Concerts and lectures: several times a week various concerts and lectures take place in the conference center Atrium (former guest center).
