Umhausen is a municipality in the district of Imst (judicial district Silz), Tyrol (Austria). The municipality of Umhausen is located in the Ötztal in a valley widening on the Mur cone of the Horlachbach, scattered among various hamlets and villages.

Ötzi village
The Ötztaler Verein für prähistorische Bauten und Heimatkunde (Ötztal Association for Prehistoric Buildings and Local History), based in Umhausen, established the "Ötzi Village" in 2001 in cooperation with the municipality of Umhausen and under the scientific direction of the University of Innsbruck (Institute for Archaeology, Walter Leitner). An archaeological open-air park, which is to illustrate to the visitor "life, living and economy in the Neolithic Age", the time of Ötzi. A survival school is attached. Several tourist facilities have been created around the area, the latest being a bird of prey park.
