Sankt Peter-Freienstein (usual spelling St. Peter-Freienstein; abbreviation St. Peter-Frst.) is a market town in Austria in the judicial district or district of Leoben in Upper Styria. The village is located on the southeastern edge of the Eisenerz Alps in the Vordernberger Valley in its lower section, which connects the Trofaiach Basin with the Upper Mur Valley near Leoben.
