Losenstein is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Steyr-Land. Losenstein is located in the Upper Austrian Traunviertel on the Enns River.

Culture and sights

    Losenstein Castle Ruins: 12th century; one of the largest and oldest castle ruins in Upper Austria. The rock of the castle ruin, which is located in the center of the village, also serves as a climbing area ("Burgfelsen"), as well as a viewing platform. The ruin consists of two main buildings, which characterize the townscape of Losenstein.
