Culture and sights
The baroque parish church Kirchberg am Walde, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, was built from 1709 to 1713.
The baroque parish church Süßenbach, built in 1840/1841, integrated parts of the nave of the predecessor church with two short cross arms.
The Weißenalbern parish church stands next to the Rauhenstein fortress.
On the road to Hirschbach is the so-called Red Chapel, built in 1659.
The baroque-early classicist, in essence medieval castle is located on a terrain step in the south of the village.
Former All Saints Hospital: From 1715 to 1719 the former All Saints Hospital was built as a foundation of Count Kuefstein. It is located to the west of the main square and served to accommodate benefactors. The cruciform complex has the choir tower of the integrated hospital church in the center. Also noteworthy is the late Gothic twin spiral staircase, which was probably removed from a medieval castle complex and transferred here.
On the town square is the former pillory with a crowning figure of Justitia, inscribed 1714.
Outside Kirchberg, halfway along the road to Ullrichs, is one of the best preserved gallows in Austria (inscribed 1743).
