Culture and sights
The Gaschurn Tourism Museum was opened in Gaschurn in 1992 as Austria's first tourism museum.
In the new community center of the village, which was completed in 1986, there is an approximately 300-year-old Montafoner Stube - the so-called Lucas Tschofen Stube.
The parish church of Gaschurn as a neo-Romanesque church was consecrated in 1869 by Bishop Franz Josef Rudigier of Linz, who was born in Partenen. The altar and ceiling paintings were executed by the Schruns brothers Franz and Jakob Bertle in the late Nazarene style.
Maria Schnee Chapel: According to the inscription, the construction of the chapel dates back to 1637. The founder and builder is considered to be Lukas Tschofen, a legendary figure of the Montafon valley. The chapel houses a picture of Mary Help of Christians (copy after a picture of grace by Lucas Cranach the Elder) and has become a popular place of pilgrimage to Mary. The chapel is located on a small hill in the village center of Gaschurn.
