Culture and sights
Catholic parish church Gamlitz St. Peter and Paul
Gamlitz Castle, built in the 12th century, has been owned by the Melcher family since the 19th century. Today it is used as a hotel.
In the center of the village there is a monument erected in 1914 to fallen soldiers of the Battle of Königgrätz (1866).
On the border with Ehrenhausen, at the Weinleiten elevated water tank built in 2017, the 27-meter-high Weinleiten water tower has stood since June 2019, not a water tower in the functional sense but a lookout tower. The cross-section of the waisted tower is stretched wider at the top than at the bottom by 8 arched wooden pillars. A spiral staircase made of steel leads in the central axis to the platform at a height of 21 meters with a view of the southern Styrian wine country and a balcony with a glass window in the floor for the view downwards. The builder is the Leibnitzerfeld-Süd Water Association, which provides information about the water supply and the path of the water via a 48" touch screen on the elevated tank building next to it and a website.
Motorikpark, 1 km east of the village center (marketplace) between the left bank of the Gamlitzbach, Bachweg and Naturbad to the south and the B69 state road (Untere Hauptstraße) to the north; with 30 stations on 17 hectares, opened in June 2012.
