Our Furth near Göttweig

The steeply rising Göttweiger Berg, on whose summit the world-famous Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig is enthroned, is surrounded by forests and vineyards. In the middle of it all is the picturesque wine village of Furth bei Göttweig. The place opens a variety of possibilities for its visitors to spend promising and relaxing vacations.

During a hike through the natural monument Zellergraben you will learn why loess and wine is a successful combination. Furth is the starting point for hiking and biking tours on signposted trails.

In the village there are very well run inns and restaurants. The straw wreath leads to the tusker who has "unplugged" and opened his cellar doors. You get to know not only the excellent wine, but the country, the people and the customs.
