Grafenegg is located north of the Danube in the west of the Tullnerfeld on the border between Waldviertel and Weinviertel in Lower Austria and is crossed by the Kamp river. 
The municipality consists of the cadastral communities Diendorf am Kamp, Engabrunn, Etsdorf, Grunddorf, Haitzendorf, Kamp, Sittendorf and Walkersdorf.
