Culture and sights
Catholic parish church Ebensee am Traunsee hl. Josef: The catholic parish church built in 1726 in baroque style is a work of the Linz master builder Johann Michael Prunner.

Concentration Camp Memorial Gallery: The memorial exhibition in the KZ Gedenkstollen shows documents on the camp's construction and photographs taken by the American liberation troops. Guided tours of the camp grounds are available. The KZ Gedenkstollen is located on the site of the former 'Arbeitslager Zement', near the Finkerleiten settlement, about three kilometers southeast of Ebensee.
Zeitgeschichte Museum Ebensee: is located in an old school building from 1779 directly in the center of town. The museum shows the history of the Salzkammergut from 1918 to 1955.
In addition, there is the Heimatgeschichtliches museum.ebensee: The museum is located in the listed 'Verwesamt' - the former saline directorate - which existed from 1605 to 1852. Opened in 1974, the museum focuses on salt production, the history of the saltworks and forestry, but also displays other exhibits, such as the "Fetzenfasching".
Ebensee Cinema: is a cultural venue with an art-house cinema and venue for the Festival of Nations film festival, as well as for rock/pop/world concerts.
Salzkammergut Nature Museum: is located on the Salzkammergut Road B 145 in the district of Langwies and was opened in 2009 and offers an insight into nature.

Gassel stalactite cave: the Gassel stalactite cave is a show cave near the Erlakogel, it is looked after by the Ebensee Cave Society.
Rindbach Falls: the Rindbach waterfall is located in the municipal area.
Langbathseen nature reserve: the nature reserve with Vorderer and Hinterer Langbathsee is located in the Ebensee municipal area; the Langbathsee hunting lodge, built for Emperor Franz Josef, is located at Vorderer Langbathsee.

Film Festival Festival of Nations: the 'Festival of Nations' - the international film festival for non-commercial film (amateur film) - was held annually in Ebensee from 1973 to 2013. The venue was the Ebensee cinema.
