Weyer is a market town in Upper Austria in the district of Steyr-Land in the Traunviertel region. The rural part of Weyer-Land, which was split off from Weyer-Markt in 1897, was reunited with Weyer-Markt to form a single municipality as of 1 January 2007.

Regular events

    Seewiesenfest: Organized since 1991 by the cultural association FRIKULUM (Independent Initiative for Peace, Culture & Environment) and takes place in the district Kleinreifling. The cooperation with the radio station FM4 brought among others Deichkind and Wir sind Helden as guests.
    The Powerman: An international duathlon is held annually together with the towns of Großraming and since 2009 also with Maria Neustift. It is one of the sporting highlights in the Enns Valley and is also attended by professional duathlon athletes.
    Turnerball: Every 5th of January in the big gymnasium.
    Market Festival: Takes place on the 1st weekend in July on the Weyr market square.
    Christmas tree planting: Takes place annually in mid-December in Kastenreith near the Ennsmuseum. A Christmas tree is blessed and the members of the Eisenwurzen diving club swim down the Enns with it, illuminated by torches.
