Culture and sights
Rannariedl Castle: Rannariedl Castle is located on a steep rocky ridge not far from where the Ranna flows into the Danube. It was built in the 13th century by the "Falkensteiners". A medieval round tower with a wedge roof is located in the north of the complex. The residential wing encloses a courtyard with arcades on three sides. The Gothic castle chapel was used as a parish church from 1783 to 1953. Today the castle is privately owned.
