Culture and sights
Lockenhaus Castle: Lockenhaus is known for its medieval stronghold, Lockenhaus Castle, which can look back on a storied past. In the 13th century it is said to have been a shelter of the Knights Templar, but this is not one hundred percent provable. However, it is certain that Elisabeth Báthory also resided in the castle. Today the castle is a cultural center with a permanent exhibition (Gustinus Ambrosi, Knights Templar and other themes) and current exhibitions.
