Hard (also Hard am Bodensee) is a market town in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. With 13,793 inhabitants , it is the second largest municipality in the district of Bregenz after the provincial capital Bregenz. The market town is located on the southern shore of Lake Constance, nestled between the Bregenzer Ach and the mouth of the New Rhine into Lake Constance further west, and belongs to the administrative district of Bregenz in the westernmost Austrian province of Vorarlberg.
Culture and sights
The parish church of St. Sebastian is located on the shore road, close to the lake. A predecessor of the present church was built in 1684 by Balthasar Broll in Renaissance style with Baroque furnishings. The present neo-Romanesque basilical building was erected from 1862 according to plans by Leonhard v. Clarini and consecrated in 1876.
The church of St. Martin is located on the Mühlestraße and was built in 1974-1976.
Schleienlöcher - a nature reserve near Hard in the Rhine delta, between the Dornbirner Ach and the New Rhine with bays, pools and old side arms of the rivers. Because of the frequent occurrence of the tench, such habitats were also called "Schleienlöcher."

Textile Printing Museum Mittelweiherburg: in 1794 a textile printing plant was established in the former moated castle, at that time it was one of the most important textile printing factories in all of Austria. Today the building serves only as an interesting museum, which can also be visited with guided tours.
Villa Jenny: Villa of the former owners of today's textile printing museum Melchior and Samuel Jenny, can be visited today among other things also as an art museum.
The water tower Hard-Fußach was built in 1900, in 1902 the Fußach water system was additionally connected.
The town hall is a large lenticular building from 1996 (architects Klas & Lässer), seen from above.
The Rheintalhaus at Landstraße 8 is a block building from the 17th century. The cornices are profiled, the flying-spar triangles dated 1671.
