Admont is an Austrian market town in the north of Upper Styria, about 20 km east of the district capital Liezen. The municipality is located in the judicial district of Liezen. Admont is located in a valley basin on the middle Enns River and in the western part of the Gesäuse. In the middle of the Ennstal Alps, it is framed by the Haller Mauern and the Admont Reichenstein.

Röthelstein Castle: built 1655-1657, an early baroque castle south of the village, summer and hunting residence of the Admont abbots, today a youth & family guesthouse JUFA.
Kaiserau Castle: built in 1778, by the Benedictine monks of Admont, now houses a room rental service. Apartments and group rooms (as in youth hostel) are offered. Less than 100 meters away is a small ski area owned by Admont Abbey.
