Retz is a municipality with 4286 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2022) in the district of Hollabrunn in the province of Lower Austria in Austria. The wine town is located near the Czech border, twelve kilometers away from Znojmo.

    Retz Windmill: one of the last two working windmills in Austria, the only windmill in Austria that is completely preserved in its original state

    Military cemetery - is a little hidden not far from the windmill and Calvary. Created in 1979. Here all the German fallen (and also women and men of other nations) previously buried scattered in the Weinviertel found a common resting place.
    Bicycle Museum: the Bicycle Museum is located in the Schüttkasten, below Gatterburg Castle.
