Mühldorf is a municipality with 1012 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2023) in the south of Austria in the district of Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia.
The municipality is located in the lowest Mölltal valley and is bordered to the north by the Reißeck group and to the south by the Kreuzeck group.
In older research, it was assumed that Muldorf was first mentioned in a document by Pope Alexander III, signed in Venice on April 6, 1177.

Culture and sights
The parish church of Mühldorf was first mentioned in a document in 1177 and is dedicated to St. Vitus.
The branch church of St. Andrew in Rappersdorf is located around 1.5 km east of Mühldorf. It was first mentioned in a document in 1388.
The secular building of the Sternhof, located directly on the Mühldorf stream, was built in 1470 and renovated in 2001. In the fight for freedom
against the French in 1809, it was the headquarters of the Carinthian and Tyrolean Landsturm under the command of Colonel
Johann Baptist Türk, a friend and fellow fighter of Andreas Hofer.
