Goldegg, also Goldegg im Pongau, is a municipality in the district of St. Johann im Pongau in Salzburger Land in Austria. Goldegg is situated above the Salzach River in the province of Salzburg. It is the westernmost and thus uppermost of the municipalities belonging to the district of Pongau in the Salzach Valley.

Culture and sights

Castle Goldegg: In the castle, which belongs to the municipality since 1973, different cultural events are offered. The castle houses the Pongau museum of local history. Since 2012, a Thomas Bernhard Festival has been held regularly in September.
