Culture and sights
Kronburg Castle
Catholic chaplaincy church Kronburg Mariahilf
Catholic Expository Church Falterschein Mary Purification
Catholic parish church Zams hl. Andreas: The landmark of Zams is the free-standing church tower. The reason for its unusual location lies in a fire that reduced half of the village to ashes in 1911 and destroyed much of the old building fabric. The tower was preserved, while the church was rebuilt about 50 meters away.
Zams was and is home to many visual artists. The best known representative is Franz Xaver Hauser, who has already passed away. Others are Christine Ljubanovic (now living in Paris) and Roland Böck. The Musikkapelle Zams with its youth orchestra sets special accents in the youth work and plays symphonic wind music.
Water: Water has always been important for the local population. In the district of Lötz, the old irrigation channels for fields and meadows are still intact. In the Year of Water 2003, the Water World ("Zammer Lochputz") was built in Zams, bringing the important element of water to the attention of the public.
In 2006 the water world was extended by a show power station of the TIWAG and by a Kneipp facility. A special sight is the water fountain, which shows the power of water. The Tyrolean Oberland region is also a center for white water sports such as kayaking, rafting and canyoning.
