Eisenerz is a town in the judicial district or district of Leoben in the north of Styria, about 25 km northwest of the district capital Leoben.
The former name of the community was Innerberg.

City museum in the old city hall, Bergmannsplatz 1.
Postal Museum in the Kammerhof, the former seat of Innerberg's main trade union.

Parish Church of St. Oswald: The Gothic church, dedicated to Oswald of Northumbria, from the 15th-16th centuries, is the largest fortified church in Styria (fortifications from 1532 to 1534).
Erzbergbahn: museum railroad that runs from Vordernberg over the Präbichl to the Erzberg station.
Schwarzer Hof is considered one of the last, nearly original, preserved medieval wheelmaster's houses in Styria.
Leopoldstein Castle: Between 1666 and 1670, Chamber Count Leopold Freiherr von Neidthardt zu Spathenbrunn had the so-called "Saurießlgut" converted into a castle and named it "Schloss Leopoldstein" in honor of Emperor Leopold. Under the owner Johann G. Ledermayer it burned down for the most part in 1706. After around 1880 the property came into the possession of Prince Arnulf of Bavaria, he had it rebuilt in the historicist style between 1890 and 1895, following the example of Bavarian royal castles.[9]
Currently (2015) it is used as a youth sports house of the province of Styria.
Market Church of the Nativity of Mary from 1453, later baroqueized.
Petruskapelle
The Renaissance-style shift tower has been ringing the miners' bell for their shift since 1581.
Geyeregg Castle from 1621/22
Forge and blowing house "Zainhammerl": The almost demolished object at Krumpentalerstraße 13 turned out to be the last forge in town, which is still preserved in its original state even inside. It is probably also the last Zainschmiede in Styria.
